Park City Historical Society

The Park City Historical Society helps preserve and promote Park City's colorful history. The web site lists the highlights of Park City's history...starting round about 40,000 BC, and quickly moves up to present day recorded history.

While in town, you will want to plan an hour or so at the Park City Museum where you can explore mining, skiing exhibits and, of course, the old Park City Jail...where the sheriff routinely stored the colorful characters of the past when they got too colorful on a Friday night.

If you aren't in town, you can learn about Park City's past by reading about silver mining, stage coaches and old town homes on the history page.

The video below, by PCTV, brings the public on a tour of local museums.
