Alf Engen Ski Museum

Once again, I find myself wishing that I had developed a site of the month, rather than a site of the day program. Alf Engen Ski Museum would be one of the sites to win a site of the month award.

Built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the museum is located in the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center at the US Olympic Park. The museum is dedicated to the history of skiing.

The web site provides information about the museum, its location, the museum foundation, and exhibits. To learn about this history of skiing you will want to plan a visit to the museum's interactive displays during your trip to Park City.

Alf Engen has penned several works on the history of skiing including First Tracks: A Century of Skiing in Utah and For the Love of Skiing a pictorial history of skiing (which includes a collection of vintage skiing pictures.)
