Summit Land Conservancy

The Park City Lifestyle has its roots in the wide open spaces of the old west. Sadly, development has been fast and furious. Summit County requires a concerted effort to protect as many of its agricultural and open lands as possible.

Summit Land Conservancy is local organization that raises funds to buy easements to help preserve agricultural lands, range lands and waterways. Land trusts and easements are free market tools that provide financial incentives for property owners to preserve farm lands and other open spaces.

Summit Land Conservancy is a member of the National Trust Alliance.

If you visit the Land Conservancy web site, you should stop by the funding page where you will learn that conservation is funded by good people like yourself. The page even includes handy PayPal donation buttons that let you donate some of that money that's been building up in your PayPal account.
