Heiden Orthopaedics
As a speed skater, Eric Heiden (wikipedia) won five Olympic Gold Medals and set four Olympic records in the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics. On retiring from speed skating. Eric set a total of 15 world records.
On retiring from speed skating, Eric Heiden launched a career in cycling where he won a United States Cycling Championship and competed in the 1986 Tour de France.
In medicine, Dr. Heiden completee his M.D. degree in in orthopedics at Stanford University in 1991, and completed residency training in 1996 at UC Davis. In 2006, Dr. Heiden and his wife Dr. Karen Heiden relocated to Park City to join The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (IHC TOSH).
Dr. Heiden continues his career as an orthopedic surgeon at Heiden Orthopaedics which offers a variety of services in the field of sports medicine including injury rehabilitation, and Olympic training. Just as Eric Heiden established a position on the cutting edge of speed skating, Heiden Orthopaedics seeks to establish a position on the cutting edge of medical technlogy with the early adoption of medical and electronic record keeping technology (PR Web).
